Original Car-Free Escapes, you will find that your apartment is serviced every other day and your kitchen will be stocked with a selection of breakfast supplies – all you have to do is help yourself.
Kobarid will be your base if you choose an Original Car-Free Escape, and is also suitable for anyone wanting the amenities of a town within walking distance: shops, restaurants, cafes, museums, and proximity to watersports and other activities.
In Koseč you will be welcomed as guests of the Kranjc family, who own the farm next door, and whose sheep you will definitely encounter on many of your walks. The 6 rooms and 2 apartments are new and attractively furnished. All of them have en suite facilities and many rooms also have balconies on which to sit and soak up the magnificent views across the plateau and down to the Soča valley. There is a large garden with a “pétanque” court, as well as a dining room in which Irena and Urška serve breakfast and delicious suppers of traditional village dishes, using ingredients grown on the farm. These are often rounded off with a glass of home-distilled schnapps flavoured with secret herbs. The family are an excellent source of detailed local knowledge and will be more than happy to show you around their farm. On Original Escapes only, your room will be serviced regularly.
