All Upland Escapes are single-centre based, which means that you can really get to know the place in which you are staying, and there is no repeated packing and unpacking. You can simply settle in and relax.
Our Group Departures stay in the same magnificent upland areas as our independent Escapes, but rather than being in a traditional village, your accommodation is in a small and charming rural town nearby. This of course has wonderful access to the finest walking and countryside in the area. It also offers plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants, with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the characteristic bustle of local day-to-day life.
We have chosen delightful, family-run hotels at the heart of these little towns, so that you have a comfortable, convenient and friendly place in which to base yourself for a week. The accommodation is characterful, welcoming and in tune with the setting; all rooms have en-suite facilities. Most importantly, we know each of the owners personally; the service is excellent and the hospitality genuine.
